PPGI/PPGL (Prepainted Galvanized Steel/Prepainted Galvalume Steel) are coated with an organic layer to a provide higher anti-corrosion property and longer lifespan than that of galvanized steel sheets.

The base metals that can be used for PPGI/PPGL are cold-rolled steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel and hot-dipped galvalume steel. The coating materials that can be used are polyester, silicon modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride and high-durability polyester.

Features:

Color coated steel sheet has a number of advantages over galvanized steel sheet. For example, its corrosion resistance is 3 times that of galvanized steel sheet. This is because the density of 55% aluminum is smaller than the density of zinc. In terms of weight, when the thickness of the plating layer is the same, the area of the galvalume steel sheet is 3% or larger than that of the galvanized steel sheet.

Furthermore, color coated steel sheet is more ideal than single spraying or brushing on the surface of formed metal, for it is made by chemical pretreatment, preliminary coating and fine coating. This gives the surface coating a more even and stable quality.
