Ppgi / ppgl is a kind of coated steel which have organic layer. This coating provides higher anti-corrosion property and a longer lifespan than galvanized steel sheet. The base material for ppgi/ppgl can be differnt, including cold-rolled steel, hot dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel and hot dipped galvalume steel. Among these materials, the coating material could also be various, such as polyester, silicon modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride and high-durability polyester.
One advantage of the galvalume steel sheet is its strong corrosion resistance, which is three times as much as that of galvanized steel sheet. This is enabled by its relatively low density of 55% aluminum as compared to zinc. When the weight is kept the same and the thickness of the plating layer is the same, the area of the galvalume steel sheet is 3% larger or more compared to that of the galvanized steel sheet.
The color coated steel sheet is also of good quality, as it is produced through chemical pretreatment, preliminary coating and fine coating. The result is a smoother and more stable surface than with single spraying or brushing of the sheet's metal surface.
