The Prepainted Steel Sheet in Coil is a product obtained via a process of coating the surface of a hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet. The base material used for this consists of cold-rolled steel, hot dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel and hot-dipped galvalume steel.
The coating materials vary, with some options including polyester, silicon modified polyester, polyvinylidene fluoride and high-durability polyester.
Prepainted steel sheet is a composite material, which comprises of a steel core, metal coating, a primer and a top coat. When Galvanized or Galvalume (Aluzinc) is used as the substrate, the surface is pre-treated, then painting occurs, followed by baking and cooling. This process results in the formation of an organic protective film on the steel substrate, which provides excellent durability, corrosion resistance, formability and decorative qualities.
Furthermore, this sheet metal can be used in roll forming, bending and deep drawing operations. It can also be easily cut, rolled, bent, folded and otherwise worked for various purposes.
